The Remote Access Portal (RAP) is used by authorised account holders to connect to either the Havering or Newham networks when working from home or other remote location using your own pc or laptop.
You must use 2 Factor Authentication (2FA) to be able to work remotely, on a non-corporate device. With effect from the 17th December 2019 the RAP provider changed from Safenet to MS Azure MFA and you will need to register with the new 2FA provider before you log on.
There is no need to register if:
- you have a council supplied laptop with ‘direct access’
- you do not need to work remotely

Suppliers and external partners
Existing Supplier/External Partner – If you require access to the Newham or Havering networks, then you will also need to register for 2FA to connect remotely.

If you require your network account to be enabled, please contact your Newham or Havering business contact who will request the enabling via the oneSource ICT Service Desk.
New Supplier/External Partner – If require access to the Newham or Havering network contact your Newham or Havering business contact who will make the necessary arrangements.
