RAP Support

Please refer to the FAQs for important information on printing through RAP.

Using RAP

The Remote Access Portal (RAP) is used by authorised account holders to connect to either the Havering or Newham networks when working from home or other remote location using your own pc or laptop.

You must use 2 Factor Authentication (2FA) to be able to work remotely, on a non-corporate device. With effect from the 17th December 2019 the RAP provider changed from Safenet to MS Azure MFA and you will need to register with the new 2FA provider before you log on.

There is no need to register if:

  • you have a council supplied laptop with ‘direct access’
  • you do not need to work remotely
